About me…

One Thirty 9 was formally Stitchings By Ellen. I never really cared for that name. It was just something that happened and stuck for a little while, too long.

Let me tell you a little about myself. I’m very happily married and have two beautiful daughters. We enjoy each other and are super close.

I honestly never thought I would own a business. I never thought I would have an embroidery machine. Now, I have embroidery machines, plural.

Stitchings By Ellen started off as a hobby. Nothing more, nothing less. It quickly grew! I opened an Etsy shop 14 years ago and it has done really well. Like I said, I never liked the name Stitchings By Ellen but I had no clue what name really fit. I didn’t want catchy or cutesy. I wanted something real or real to me.

One Thirty 9 was born. Why One Thirty 9? Well, I’m a strong believer in Jesus Christ. That’s where my faith is anchored. That’s where my hope is found. It’s real to me. Very real. My favourite scripture is Psalm 139, the whole chapter.
